About me
My Mission
To encourage Christians and others to renew their worldview in a way that will help us to fall in love with nature and with the God who created it.
I want society to move away from a consumerist and scarcity mindset to one of living lightly on the earth. Then we can start to heal the damage we have done to the planet and learn to appreciate the abundance nature provides for us. Next we can find joy by involving ourselves in our local community and by getting to know our local landscape more intimately. We can find peace in having enough and no more. Finally, we can practice generosity through sharing our abundances with others.

Who I am
A 50+ wife and mother, previous medical doctor, with rich life experiences of living in different countries, a mixed hertiage of cultures with grandparents born in 3 different countries and children born in a fourth. I have worked in the NHS, private, voluntary and charity sectors.
However, I find my identity first as a child of God, having become a Christian at the age of 14. Therefore I seek His guidance and direction for my life in all I do. Many factors came together in 2020-22 that lead to me making the decision to stop practicing as a medical doctor. Since leaving my medical career behind in June 2022, I have less money, but am benefitting from more time, richer friendships, more emotional energy and greater home economy, helping our family to be more resilient and self sufficient. With more time and energy, I am learning lots of new skills such as woodland management, farming, permaculture design. Being outdoors is my happy place and where I find spiritual renewal. Whatever I do now, I make sure that it involves being close to nature so that I can thrive.
My Core Values
These are in line with the overriding Christian value of Love and with the three permacuture ethics.
